The route of tram 2 will change in Kamppi. The tram will run via Fredrikinkatu, Simonkatu and the Central Raiway Station. The tram will no longer serve the stops Luonnontieteellinen museo, Lasipalatsi and Ylioopilastalo. The purpose of the change is to ensure smoother traffic flow for trams until Autumn 2024, at which point the first phase of the Mannerheimintie renovation project will come to an end.
Tram 2 will resume its previous route to Ilmalantori on Monday 14 August
